Loved and Enduring

The objects that we choose to surround ourselves with, tend to be those with the strongest and deepest connections to our past, present, and future. In addition, they may embody fond memories or represent special people, but cherished things also reveal what we value—beauty, utility, knowledge, craft—and when assembled can function as a portrait in time.

Design

Design is one of the most powerful forces in our lives.
It is a superpower and with it, we can change the world.
Therefore, we believe that social and environmental issues go hand in hand and through exploring the connection between these issues we may find innovative design solutions to sustainability.

The future of fashion must be sustainability. Making pieces that we can identify ourselves with. Having fewer but valuable garments that mean something to us, not one-use disposable fashion.

The future of retail is small producers that value the craftsmanship and the quality of the product throughout the whole process.

Style from my point of view is expressing your own individuality through what you wear.

The future of fashion is going to be an aspect of all forces in life, fashion creates opportunities, it promotes personality, and individuality but also collaboration. It will surely become more courageous and powerful through data gathering of individuals, the more people that willingly promote what they want in an item of clothing through websites and the use of cookies, the more unique and inclusive fashion will be.

The future of retail is, going to be much more interactive and social media based in terms of online shopping, many retail apps already have interactive aspects and the use of cookies to advertise certain products to individuals. So, the future of retail lies in the individual. High street stores will need to become more of a spectacle and an immersive experience in order to satisfy consumers.

Style from my point of view means is creating something magnificent from something simple, a garment or outfit is not a style until a person has imbedded their own individual flare to it. Therefore, style needs personality.

    1) Sustainable – made from non-harmful and natural fabrics such as cotton, hemp, linin, jute, and bamboo as opposed to polyester, nylon, acrylic, spandex and rayon.

    2) Ethical – products are vegan and cruelty free and workers are paid a sustainable wage and workspaces are safe.

    3) Inclusive – designers have equal rights to access the fashion industry and always receive credit for their work as well as an increased variety of types of clothes tailored to particular gender demographics (more non-binary clothes).

The future of fashion is connected to the fashion of past. It’s a cycle. With each passing years, people are attracted more towards old arts. The older the art, the more value it has.

The future of retail is dependable on technology.

Style from my point of view means formless. Different people have different perceptions, so their sense of style is different. What one likes a lot, the other one may not like it.

    “The future of fashion is…”
… headed toward the importance of human craft, within the field of sustainability. Making use of the resources we currently hold and utilizing them to innovate techniques and products which value the environment from which it bloomed.

    “The future of retail is…”
…no longer grounded in reality. It will be technologically driven moving the customer experience into a virtual world. Unique companies can utilize this and innovate to bring the intangible into a more realistic experience.

“Style from my point of view means…”
… not giving a **** what anyone else thinks, it’s your personality, your expression, your self coming out to play in physical space.

The future of fashion is slowing down, with leading brands turning away from seasons. Consumers are investing more in key pieces and buying more second-hand clothing as sustainability comes to the forefront of their minds. In this digital era, rapidly emerging fashion will become more digital.

The future of retail is increasingly online and this trend has accelerated with the Covid-19 pandemic. Bricks and mortar stores will decline further and ordering online will become the norm. Companies will also develop better ways for customers to try on pieces remotely and virtually. Pop-up shops and stockists will become more appealing as they offer a flexible, exciting experience for the customer and a cheaper way for brands to work.

Style from my point of view means expression, both of a person’s individual personality and values and also of their group memberships and allegiances.

    “The future of fashion is…
The future of fashion is reliant on the need for companies to develop ethically and sustainably as the industry is growing at an exponential rate. This is possible through the encouragement of supporting local crafts and the reusing of materials which in turn will reduce the use of intensive labour and fast fashion brands. We all have a duty and individual responsibility to shape the future of fashion into what we want it to be.

    “The future of retail is…
The future of retail is uncertain especially due to the current economic crisis and the need for retailers to adjust is more apparent than ever. The pandemic faced in 2020 has assisted the rapid development of online retail and the indications are clear that mainstream fashion is following suit. Nevertheless, I believe there will always be a place for highstreet retail within the fashion industry however, in my opinion, I think this will be concentrated with high end boutiques.

“Style from my point of view means…
Style from my point of view means a segmented glimpse into your life, identity, culture, heritage and is an expression of who you are or desire to be. It is the personality which we choose to express and can be a communication of love or hate to portray a message to those you surround yourself with.
